Our Staff

Kelsey Phillips Harrison - Owner/Director

I was born and raised in Provo and have been dancing since the age of 3. My primary training is in modern and creative dance through BYU Young Dancemakers, but I also trained for many years at Classical Ballet Academy and Center Stage among others. After dancing with my high school's drill and dance companies, I decided to pursue a degree in Music Dance Theater from BYU. In my time at BYU I studied under incredible professors and had the opportunity to serve as the dance captain for the BYU Young Ambassadors for 3 years - touring to Brazil, Argentina, China, and across the USA.

Post-graduation I continue to perform where I can but have largely turned to teaching and choreographing. I have taught for several studios across Utah Valley, worked as the Director of Uplift Performing Arts, and my choreography has been seen at BYU, the Hale Center Theater Orem, the Jackson Hole Playhouse, the Valentine Theater, and many elementary, middle, and high school productions around Utah.

Aside from the world of dance, I have a wonderful husband, a dog, and a new little baby that we welcomed to our family this January! I love to crochet, play the piano, read good books, go to Disneyland, and spend good time with my family.

My goal as a studio director is to mold and refine our dancers to become their best selves through an education in the performing arts by providing professional training in a positive, safe and uplifting environment. I can see big and bright things ahead for the studio and I am so looking forward to helping every student become their best self.

Rylinn Levie - Instructor

My name is Rylinn Levie. I am 19 years old, the oldest of three girls, and I am currently attending Utah Valley University, majoring in deaf studies with an emphasis on interpreting. I have been dancing since I was 18 months old. Since then, I have trained throughout Utah, Las Vegas Nevada, and Boise Idaho. My training variation has helped me secure my place on two convention assisting teams. One is based in Texas, while the second is locally in Utah. I graduated from Westlake High School in 2025, of which I was a part, and participated in the back-to-back 6A cheer state championship team. Not only did I focus on my sports, but also on my schooling. I graduated with high honors, was a part of the Westlake High School national honor society, and graduated with the seal of bi-literacy. I am a full-time online student at Utah Valley University, except for two of my required American Sign Language classes. Dancing after high school has always been a dream of mine, and one that I am grateful that Odyssey Dance Theatre has allowed me to experience! I plan to continue dancing for years to come, while achieving my degree within the same timeframe. I cannot wait to see what awaits me in the future, and I could not be more grateful for this gift I have been given!

Franky DeMartino - Instructor

Franky DeMartino is the creator and director of Allium Movers, a pop-up collaborative troupe of independent dancers. She is also a freelance artist and a longstanding member of Allure Creative. Graduating from Utah Valley University with a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Modern Dance and Bachelors of Science with an emphasis in Behavioral Science, her research on dance and psychology has been presented at conferences on a regional and national level. In addition to setting two full ballets, her choreography has premiered on Allure Creative, Further Movement Collective, St. George Dance Company, Red Rock Festival Gala, Creator’s Dance Project, and Synergy Dance Company at UVU. Franky is hugely motivated by the lived human experience, intimacy, mental health, the boundaries of the human body and spirit, and the spiritual world. She is inspired by the mundane, that average sounds are music, the pedestrian is dance, and how art can be found in the everyday cracks and crevices of life. She is interested in creating a collaborative safe space to explore, research, and deepen her own and others’ artistry.

For her, dance is more than just technique, it is a way to connect with people, tell stories, and express emotions that sometimes our words can’t.

When I’m not dancing I’m hanging out with my family or doing school work. I’m currently a student at the University of Utah where I’m majoring in psychology. I love going to Disneyland especially during Halloween time.

I can’t wait for another year at UDE!

Sarah started dance, gymnastics and cheerleading at age 6. Hip Hop is her favorite genre! She got very involved in musical theater at the Denver Civic Theater in her high school years. Shortly after high school Sarah moved to Utah, and married her husband Scott. They have 4 talented boys that play/played football, basketball, baseball, Rugby, track, soccer, gymnastics and of course danced! Her older 3 started dancing when they were 4 years old, but didn’t start dancing at UDE until they moved to Saratoga Springs. At least one of her boys has danced at UDE over the last 13 years. Sarah has worked the front office at Ultimate Dance for the last 6 years. One of Sarah’s most favorite things in the world is to watch her boys dance! “They are so strong and yet very graceful. I love the dichotomy!” When Sarah isn’t cheering her boys on at competitions or games she’s watching her Las Vegas Raiders, playing with hair and make up or binging a TV series! Sarah said, “Dance and my dance family have been one of the greatest blessings in my families life.”

Suzi Heiner - Office Staff

I was born in Beverly Massachusetts and raised there until I was 16 years old. At 16 I moved to SLC Utah where I graduated from West High school in downtown SLC. In high school I enjoyed playing field hockey, running track, and cheerleading.

After high school I attended UVU and studied Sociology. I served as a missionary for my church in San Jose California. It is also where I met my husband Ben. We married in 1998 in Bountiful Utah. We have 6 children together ages 25, 24, 21, 19, 17, 9. Only my youngest child dances, but with her schedule you'd think they all do! This is her 6th year dancing with this studio. And I'm here because of her!

Happy Parents and Dancers

  • We've been with Ultimate Dance Experience for 4 years now, 2 years on the competition teams. We love it! All the students get individual attention & don't get "lost in the crowd". You can see how invested the owner & teachers are in every individual. I am pleased with the improvements my daughter has made in both her technique & confidence & the bonds she has formed are truly amazing!

    Millie Butterfield Millie Butterfield
  • We made the switch to UDE this year after competing with another dance studio for 5 years, and we can't say enough good things about it! The teachers really take their time with the girls and cheer them on to improve while lifting them up. We've already seen great progress in my daughter's skills, and she is so happy! The owner is very involved and it's clear that she cares deeply about the studio, as well as the students and parents. Another important thing is that it feels like a family, not just in words, but in reality.
