Our Faculty and Staff
Kelsey Phillips Harrison
Owner/Director
I was born and raised in Provo and have been dancing since the age of 3. My primary training is in modern and creative dance through BYU Young Dancemakers, but I also trained for many years at Classical Ballet Academy and Center Stage among others. After dancing with my high school's drill and dance companies, I decided to pursue a degree in Music Dance Theater from BYU. In my time at BYU I studied under incredible professors and had the opportunity to serve as the dance captain for the BYU Young Ambassadors for 3 years - touring to Brazil, Argentina, China, and across the USA.Â
Post-graduation I continue to perform where I can but have largely turned to teaching and choreographing. I have taught for several studios across Utah Valley, worked as the Director of Uplift Performing Arts, and my choreography has been seen at BYU, the Hale Center Theater Orem, the Jackson Hole Playhouse, the Valentine Theater, and many elementary, middle, and high school productions around Utah.Â
Aside from the world of dance, I have a wonderful husband, a dog, and a new little baby that we welcomed to our family in January of 2023! I love to crochet, play the piano, read good books, go to Disneyland, and spend good time with my family.Â
My goal as a studio director is to mold and refine our dancers to become their best selves through an education in the performing arts by providing professional training in a positive, safe and uplifting environment.Â

Mariah Plitt
Instructor
This year is Mariah’s 4th year of teaching at Ultimate Dance! She is absolutely loving teaching the preschool students jazz and musical theatre. Mariah has her degree in Musical Theatre and is passionate about instilling the love of music and movement into her students! After spending her childhood sitting at the piano and in rehearsals with her dad, Mariah fell in love with music, dance, and theatre. She went on to graduate with a degree in theatre performance with an emphasis in dance from BYU-Idaho and has been performing and pursuing an acting career in the Utah area for the last few years. In addition to her knowledge of musical theatre, Mariah loves to teach kids and has worked with kids in multiple theatre organizations. Mariah’s favorite dance styles (aside from musical theatre) are ballet and tap. When she’s not in the studio or the theatre, she loves to be outside, adventuring, and spending time with her sweet husband and two adorable kids. Mariah believes wholeheartedly in life-long learning and leading kids to have a passion for the arts that will last for their entire lifetime!

She is a part of the Dance America Staff and Summer Slam Dance Camp Staff which has given her many opportunities to dance and teach with people from all across the country. She is starting her freshman year at Utah Valley University and is a team member of the Utah Valley Dance Team which has been a lifelong goal of hers. Here she will be studying Dance Education in hopes of one day opening a studio of her own.
She is super excited to be teaching at the studio where she grew up dancing because this is where she found her love for dance and she hopes to help our students find that passion as well!
